I like spending time with my friends and learning about other people. I just want to enjoy whatever time we have together!
Live every day to the fullest! Let's explore the resort together!
I've been told I'm a good leader and listener. I'm pretty good at rescuing other people's cooking and baking disasters, and I can knit and sew. I can fight, but I'd prefer not to. My other talents are a secret. π
I don't really like to read, but I'll watch any kind of movie with my friends! I used to work part-time at a movie theater. I love listening to all kinds of music, especially J-pop, electronic, classical, and foreign music. πΆ
As for food... I love both ramen and sweets, but I'll try anything! Take me to your favorite food place! π
I like to keep my options open! π Someone I can have a good time with, no matter what we're doing.
I don't really know! Buy me a drink and help me decide! π

[There's a pause as he sends her the location.]
Meet you there in 20?
no subject
[The kaomoji will have to do in lieu of a real answer. Local girl has literally nothing going on and is jonesing to get out of her room and spend time with other people, so in far fewer than twenty minutes, she's waiting outside the location Yu had sent, hands clasped behind her back and bouncing a bit on her heels.
Yu's... still coming, right? Sure, she'd gotten there way earlier than their agreed meeting time, but she has to wonder if he actually does want to hang out. Maybe he was just being polite and didn't expect her to actually agree to it...? Or maybe something more important will come up, and he'll have to cancel. That would be okay. Yu would only cancel for a good reason, right?
For once, there's not a smile on her face as she waits, her bouncing slowing down and her brow furrowing into a worried frown. Hopefully he shows up soon...]
no subject
(... To be fair, that's not untrue.)
He spots Kotone from a bit of a distance; it's enough time for her to tailor her expression however she sees fit, but it's also plenty of time for him to carefully act like he hasn't seen the frown on her face.]
Sorry I'm late, [he says, even though he's technically early -- but that's what you do. That's how you work to put someone at ease...right?] I hope you weren't waiting long. Thanks for coming with me on such short notice.
no subject
Oh! Finally spotting Yu, she brightens immediately, the frown disappearing into a smile like it had never existed as she waves at him.]
I wasn't waiting long! [she completes the ritual polite niceities, snorting a bit of a laugh and sticking her tongue out at him as if making fun of him. It's with affection, really!] I'm glad to do it! You're buying, right?
[She bounces forward and takes his hand in hers without hesitation, as if it's completely normal for her to do on a friendly hangout with another wildcard. Which, honestly, she's pretty sure it is.]
no subject
The surge of concern he feels is strong, but he keeps it to himself, for now. Instead, his expression brightens as hers does. It's not an insincere mirror; he imagines Kotone probably has this effect on a lot of people. Brightening their moods. She's fun to be around...she was before, too, back when he was new.
The feel of her hand in his isn't unfamiliar, and he squeezes it once, with a small huff of a laugh.]
Yeah. My treat.
[He gestures in the direction of the shop. It's not too far from where they are.]
no subject
[As if nothing is wrong at all, she tugs his hand a little, taking a few steps forward with every intention of just leading the way unless he falls into step beside her. If she glances toward him or squeezes his hand a little tighter when her eyes aren't on him, well. Don't worry about it!]
I really am glad to see you, [she adds, maybe unnecessarily as she glances up at him again with another smile.] I was getting really bored all alone in my room! I think everybody on my whole floor must've gone out somewhere; it was so quiet.
[Lonely she doesn't say, but there's a flicker of something in her eyes, her fingertips twitching against the back of his hand as if she's consciously reminding herself not to squeeze too hard.]
no subject
That said, he understands the feeling. It's easy to feel lonely, when hearts encourages connection. When it highlights the vast difference between together and separate. Maybe that's why his first response is:] I'm glad to see you, too.
[Maybe unnecessary, but maybe not. Maybe it's better to express things like that. Yu's spent a lot of his life specifically not doing that; in that way, he has a lot to make up for.]
I guess, after all of that... [that. you know. the basement.] Most people wouldn't want to stay cooped up. Makes me even more grateful you suggested this.
no subject
Any time you wanna hang out, you know where I am! [And maybe that's a little desperate, but so what! She means it, even as she ducks into the little curry restaurant and takes a seat at the bar. Even as she sits, she doesn't release Yu's hand, keeping it close as if afraid he might disappear if she dared to let go.]
Are you feeling better...? After all of that. [That. They both know. The basement.]
no subject
[If he feels like it's desperate, Yu makes no indication of it. But it's the opposite, really -- he gets it. This place is prime grounds to feel isolated, and none of them deserve that. So if he can help someone else in that way, if they can help each other...
Well. He doesn't question the way she holds onto his hand -- to put it that way.]
For the most part. I was feeling out of sorts for a while, but it's gotten better now. [It's a truthful answer, but he gently bites down on his lower lip in the pause that follows. It looks for the most part like he's just worrying it, but to be honest, it's an attempt to keep him from spilling a lot more information than he planned on.] Are you?
no subject
[She means it, because honestly she's still not entirely used to the idea of being able to reach out to other people for no reason at all. Yu is really kind, isn't he...? His presence is reassuring at her side, even as she lets their joined hands rest atop his leg rather than letting go when they sit.
She glances up at him, her eyes searching his for a long moment, head tilted in curiosity as she decides whether or not to let him get away with that half-answer. That he followed up with a question of his own settles it, because rather than give an in-depth answer herself, she asks,] I'm glad that I'm with you! What do you mean, out of sorts...?
no subject
(It's unnerving, how thin that difference is.)
...] Me, too. [Ah. Hm. He had assumed that maybe other people had felt it too, but maybe he was wrong? Maybe he can find a way to explain it, anyway.]
I was having trouble keeping my feelings under control, I guess. [... Which isn't quite right. Good thing he has forced honesty to help him along!] Or rather, I was feeling other peoples' feelings.
[Ah, that's better. ...And also worse.]
no subject
[It had been hard to separate her own feelings from other people's, like they'd been intertwined somehow. When they'd met with the other two Wildcards, she'd thought maybe it was her own feelings, but maybe... she hums thoughtfully, tapping his leg with their joined hands in an idle motion.] Do you think the others felt that, too...?
[Minato wouldn't have said anything, but Akira seems like the type to maybe mention it? Not directly, of course, but... hm!]
no subject
(... Isn't that a good thing, though? To know for sure?)
He shakes his head definitively.] Akira seemed pretty surprised about the whole thing. Scott and Yosuke, too.
[... He sure did tell a lot of people...]
Have you heard about anyone else feeling it?
no subject
[Scott "my powers hurt people and I'm hot and sad about it" Summers and Yosuke "I refuse to tell you what a MILF is" Hanamura, she assumes. Small casino!
Anyway, she just shrugs and shakes her head.] I didn't ask anyone. Kazuya is really good at guessing how people feel, but he didn't seem to think it was strange, so maybe he's always been good at that...?
[Who knows! As usual, she doesn't seem overly concerned about the whole thing, humming and continuing to lightly bounce their joined hands together atop his thigh.]
I wonder why us...? If Akira didn't, it's not because of our Personas, probably.
no subject
[That last part just slipped out, but Yu slides past it easily. It's nothing he wouldn't admit freely, anyway. His face takes a thoughtful turn again at her words. So Kazuya didn't feel it either... What's the common thread, then?]
It could have been random. [He tips his head a bit, rolling over ideas in his mind.] Maybe by rank. I think we'd need to know who else felt it before being sure.
no subject
[That's right, Yosuke is a Persona-user, after all! It's easy to forget. But there's a genuine joy to her smile when Yu goes so far as to call him his best friend. That's not a small thing! And she's glad he has that kind of connection.
Come to think of it, does she have a best friend...? At home, she loves everybody equally, but if she had to pick someone here... hm. Something to consider!]
Leader of the Investigation Team is on the case, huh? [she teases rather than saying any of that, reaching across with her free hand to poke his head in the direction it had tilted.] Careful, if you think too hard, you might get wrinkles!
no subject
And then Kotone is poking his forehead, and he can't help a short laugh. This feels like a targeted criticism of a self-aware overthinker.]
I've heard they're a sign of wisdom.
[The amusement in his expression dims a bit as his attention is drawn to their still-clasped hands.]
You're really okay? [Hmm. He can't just give her room to admit things...he's starting to understand that that's just not how any of them work. He gestures instead at her arm.] Red's a good color on you, but not like that.
no subject
His question gives her pause, though, her gaze returning to her arm. It's not like she'd forgotten about it in their time here, even if the lonely ache has faded into the background with Yu's hand in hers; it's a gentle throbbing with every heartbeat, an overly-sensitive reminder of how much she craves someone else near her.
She laughs anyway, though it's more a laugh to fill silence than anything she thinks is actually funny.] You don't think tattoos look good on me? [Even to her, the joke falls flat, and in short order, she sighs through her nose.] ...It's been getting darker all month. Do you think it's something bad...?
no subject
The flat turn of her joke, the slight dimming of the mood... he really does hate to bring things down like this -- it wasn't at all what he wanted. But...this isn't the kind of thing you can just not talk about. Even the clasp of their hands is a reminder. He's hearts too -- he keenly remembers how bad it hit him when those feelings became too much.]
It's... [oh god but now he has to explain it, fuck] ... They get darker, the longer you go without sex. [Yeah, no, explaining it out loud doesn't sound any less absurd than thinking about it.] The darker it gets, the more it amplifies certain feelings. With hearts, it feels like...loneliness. Affection, yearning -- things like that.
no subject
[Her tone of voice is curious as she blinks with Yu's explanation; she doesn't sound angry, shocked, or even excited. If anything, she sounds almost indifferent, looking down at the mark on her arm, then back to him. Is that all...? She'd thought it was a problem with not being able to control her own feelings, something wrong with her. But that's right, Mitsuru had said they'd need to play the game, hadn't she? This must have been what she was talking about.
There's a beat where Kotone looks strangely impassive, then seems to come to a decision with another bright smile.]
Well, that sounds easy to fix, then! Wanna have sex?
[She sticks her tongue out a little, clearly trying to make him laugh with the sudden offer.]
no subject
oh.
It's a good thing he wasn't drinking anything, because he would have sputtered at the bluntness of the response. As is, it earns a prominent, surprised snort of laughter from him and a momentary flush across his cheeks.]
Not everyone would see it as that easy.
no subject
[His reaction wasn't too extreme, but it's at least some kind of victory! And... it's an explanation, one she'd sorely needed. She just has to find someone to have sex with, huh? The answer is so astonishingly simple.
She props her chin in her free hand, swinging her feet lightly below the table.]
So I guess if I don't do anything about it, it'll just keep feeling worse forever, huh?
no subject
That's the idea. With hearts, I think it gets kind of... [hmm. how to describe it.] Impulsive, almost. Irrational.
[That's how it feels like to him, at least. But-- he doesn't usually let it get farther than that, so he doesn't have any better insight. The way she says that seems really...telling, though. Feeling worse. On some level, Yu gets it; he's a person who tries to keep his own emotions contained. It sucks, really sucks, when they start bleeding over. His thoughts narrow back to their joined hands, how comfortable that feels.]
If I can help... [ah. hmm. maybe not the right way to word that.] If you want me to help, that is. I'd like to.
[Which is still a little awkward, but at least it's getting the point across.]
... Suit or not, how you feel is important, too.
1/2
["Impulsive" and "irrational"... impulsivity isn't an unfamiliar feeling for her, but irrationality isn't something she wants anyone to see from her. If it only affected her, she could probably figure out a way to handle it, but if it started to affect the people around her...
no subject
You mean I'd get to see your chiseled abs myself? [she teases lightly, still running her thumb along his knuckles. The light pink flush to her cheeks darkens lightly, and she offers him a shrug in response.] Who would say no to that?
[Weren't they supposed to get curry? And yet the way she shifts her weight on her seat hints that she's ready to stand up and get going.]
