I like spending time with my friends and learning about other people. I just want to enjoy whatever time we have together!
Live every day to the fullest! Let's explore the resort together!
I've been told I'm a good leader and listener. I'm pretty good at rescuing other people's cooking and baking disasters, and I can knit and sew. I can fight, but I'd prefer not to. My other talents are a secret. 😘
I don't really like to read, but I'll watch any kind of movie with my friends! I used to work part-time at a movie theater. I love listening to all kinds of music, especially J-pop, electronic, classical, and foreign music. 🎶
As for food... I love both ramen and sweets, but I'll try anything! Take me to your favorite food place! 😉
I like to keep my options open! 😊 Someone I can have a good time with, no matter what we're doing.
I don't really know! Buy me a drink and help me decide! 😉
.02 CLOWNS OR MIMES
Do most people have an opinion on this? 🤔

Both! It depends on who I'm with what kind of drink I'll order!
.07 SPICY OR SWEET
I don't mind spicy food, but I definitely prefer sweet.
.08 SUMMER OR WINTER

[Wait, wasn't she supposed to be paying him to tell her the demon stories... eh. Oh well!]
Whenever you have time, let's do it, then!
no subject
I think free time is kind of just what we all have a lot of here, so whenever you feel hungry, let me know!
no subject
[Again, 2010 girl didn't really use a lot of tech, give her a second to navigate the Watch. This is what Fuuka was for! A minute later, the location of a restaurant in the Early Bird Hall sends through.]
Got it? Let's meet there! Unless there's something else you wanna eat?
no subject
At least he has two tech geniuses to give him the what for, though. ]
I got it. This place looks good enough for me! See you there in an hour?
text -> action;
Yay!! I'll see you there! :D
[It's enough time for her to get ready -- which honestly doesn't consist of too much. A cute orange blouse and white skirt, a touch of lip gloss, and that's honestly good enough for her. No point dolling herself up for somebody she's really just hoping to make a friend out of, after what they'd already done.
If he doesn't stand her up, he'll find her waiting near the food stall, hands clasped behind her back and bouncing lightly on her heels as she watches the people around. Every so often, she reaches to her chest as if expecting to grab something, only to come away disappointed. She's missing her headphones and an MP3 player...]
no subject
The fact that they already know what each other look like helps too. No trying to guess a face in a crowd! Very helpful.
Also, he relates so much to missing his headphones and MP3 player...
He'll wave her down as he approaches. ]
Hey...! Thought I'd be the first to arrive, but apparently not.
no subject
Yes! I win!!
[It was not a competition?? And yet, she wants to make him laugh. The last thing she wants is awkwardness after what had happened; it's probably inevitable, but the more she can make him laugh and feel comfortable, the easier it'll be, maybe?]
Hungry?
no subject
Hungry enough!
[But there's no awkwardness here, and he's all the more thankful for it. He'll motion to go in.]
At least enough for some good food, I assume you are to?
no subject
[Akihiko had been impressed, and Rio had been alarmed, but it's fine, probably! She just laughs and turns on her heel, ducking into the stall and taking a seat on the stool. She pats the one next to her, clearly indicating for him to sit beside her, and raises her hand to place their order.]
Two large beef bowls, please! The special.
[No she didn't ask if that's what Kazuya wanted, but this is what he's getting. Sorry bud! She just grins at him, resting her elbow on the bar and her chin on her hand.]
I'm glad you came here, though.
no subject
He's not intimidated by her ordering it though, just impressed. And also has no problems sitting beside her.]
Of course I came. I offered to pay, after all. It'd be rude to suddenly skip out.
no subject
[No she wouldn't, and it shows in the playful sparkle in her eyes and smile on her lips -- she'd simply accept it and move on with her life without much of a second thought.]
I still wanna hear about the demons, though! And your magic.
[-Zero hesitation, straight to the point.]
no subject
[Sort of. Reincarnation is such a weird topic. But, it's So Much, Kotone! Surely you would be bored hearing all of that.
Kazuya drums his fingers a bit on the counter.]
no subject
[She kicks her feet idly under the bar without losing her smile -- if anything, she just laughs, unconsciously mirroring him by drumming her fingers against her cheek.]
You don't hafta tell me anything you don't want to. I'm just curious.
no subject
[Like... Does he start with what happened to the Primal Bel? With Cain and Abel? Start with the Tokyo wide blackout and lockdown? The crazy cult that started that in the first place?
He rubs the back of his neck.]
Um.. I guess to start it, there was a cult that ended up weakening the barrier between the human world and the demon world, because they wanted to summon a demon into the human world that was powerful enough to kill God and replace Him with that demon...? And... That sort of happened, except God and the Angel's found out, and so they worked with the government to trap all the demons inside the Yamanote circle.
[There's a bit of disdain that enters his voice when he talks about God and the angels, but he continues on anyway.]
And then they gave humanity seven days to figure out how to get rid of those demons, or we'd lose our free will. But they also only told us that about halfway through that seven days. All while everyone inside Tokyo had to deal with the fact they did a complete blackout on all of Tokyo for it, and only dropped rations for people inside once before basically leaving us all on our own to deal with the demons. Some people managed to make contracts with them to survive and help others, and other people were... not so nice with the contracts they made with their demons. And then there were also just wild demons roaming around causing chaos and killing and eating people too.
no subject
In the back of her mind, Metatron seems to stir with irritation at the sound of that disdain, but Kotone ignores him in favor of just focusing on Kazuya, reading his expressions, noting and filing away that distain. Glasses of water are set in front of them, but she waits until he's finished before finally reaching to take it in both hands and lightly tap her fingernails against it.]
You weren't kidding! [she says finally, lips curving into a bit of a sympathetic smile. It's obvious she believes him, without question -- again, it's really not terribly dissimilar-sounding to how things had felt close to the Fall.] You went through a lot. How did you handle all of that?
no subject
For the briefest of moments, he felt it. Some sort of divine power that stirred in his chest hotly, awoke ugly desires and a need for complete and utter destruction.
When nothing happens, when that brief, fleeting sensation fades, Kazuya just looks a little puzzled, like he's just come out of a daze. ]
... My friends and I made contracts of our own, with our own demons to survive.
[ He continues on, but more hesitantly now. ]
We ended up getting caught up in something much bigger, something called the War for the Throne of Bel, that there were some demons fighting over. Whichever demon won that would end up Overlord and ruler of all Demonkind. Only few demons were even qualified to participate, though.
[ He reaches for his own glass of water, cautiously. Whatever that feeling was, it's gone, but he's still on edge for it, amd can't help but glance around the room. ]
no subject
Something feels strange around them, though, in a way she can't quite put into words. Kazuya must feel it too, right? If the way he straightens up is any indication. Her brow furrows with concerned confusion, and she tilts her head, following his gaze around the room in an attempt to spot anything out of place.]
...Are you okay?
[A blunt question, but tempered with that genuine concern as she gazes across at him.]
no subject
I'm fine, it's just... Something feels off here? But not in a way that this place normally feels. It's more...
[ Here, he pauses, tilts his head a little, gaze sharp, but still wandering, like there's definitely something out of place, somewhere, surely. ]
I guess, it feels kind of oppressive?
no subject
[As she glances around again herself, her hand goes unconsciously to her heart as she cycles through her Personas to bring Metatron closer to the forefront. He's the one who'd reacted, so it stands to reason that he might have something to say, right? And yet, as usual, her Personas are the silent type -- all she can feel is a kind of seething, a desire to smack this boy down into his place for daring to be disdainful.]
no subject
Slowly, he closes it, glances around the room again, before his gaze locks on her.
It's her. She's the reason he's getting that sense of divine power.
He bites his tongue hard, and stands suddenly, posture both aggressive and defensive, like a spooked cat.
There shouldn't be any angels. They should all be dead. He mauled them, ripped them in half and bathed in their sweet-wine blood and glut himself on it in a haze of battle lust.
Even more so, this particular feeling, this angel he detests more than the rest. Remiel had at least helped to save Amane. Metatron had done nothing but incite a mob to kill him.]
I'm sorry. I think I should go.
[ His voice is incredibly clipped. ]
no subject
[She shoves herself to her feet, her own posture defensive, confused, and more than a little hurt at the sudden reaction. He can't be sensing her Persona, can he? And even if he was, why would he-?
Her hand goes to her heart again, and she focuses hard without breaking eye contact with Kazuya himself, cycling Metatron back and bringing Orpheus Telos to the front of her mind. Maybe it's just an imagined effect, but having him with her, the Persona she'd only unlocked by spending time with all of her friends, feels like a sort of reassurance.]
Hey. Please just talk to me? I'm not gonna hurt you.
no subject
The insinuation that she could even begin to hurt him almost makes him bark a cruel sounding laugh, but he manages to bite it back, bite his tongue and grip his hands into fists so tight his knuckles go white. ]
Look, I enjoyed our time together, don't get me wrong, and I know I promised to pay for your food, so please feel free to stay and eat whatever you want, but I don't think it's possible for us to be any sort of friends, or even amicable, so long as you have that creature lurking in your soul.
no subject
You can sense my Personas.
[The emphasis she puts on "Persona," makes it clear this is a Capital-P Persona, not just a fancy way of saying she has more than one face. Maybe it's the wrong thing to do, but Theo isn't here to say she's broken a social link, so all she can do is desperately try to repair it herself.]
I don't understand. Why can't we be friends?
no subject
And when she says "Personas", there's no hint of recognition across his face. Truthfully, he has no clue what she's talking about. Likely something the angel told her, a way to access its power here, undoubtedly. ]
I just told you why. As it is, you're lucky you're still standing, so let me give you a piece of advice: Whatever power that Metatron promised you? I promise you if you and him so much as look at me funny I will rip him from your soul and then tear him to pieces. I will make it hurt. And I will enjoy it.
no subject
Her first thought flits through her mind, but she tries to quash it, because that's never mattered. She can only ever deal with the consequences, and in this case, the consequence seems to be losing a friend because she has the Persona Aigis awakened within her in her soul.
The obvious answer is to release Metatron back into the Sea of Souls, but without access to the Velvet Room to summon him back if she needs him, that's hardly an option at all. All she can really do is stand there, back stiff enough to hurt as she tries to think of the right thing to say. There really isn't anything she can say to make up for it, is there? Metatron is a part of her soul.
Helpless, she can only close her eyes for a moment. She's not afraid of what Kazuya might do to her -- she's never really been afraid of pain or dying -- but she'd rather not go through it if she doesn't have to. Even if it means losing someone she'd wanted to consider a friend.]
Okay, [she says softly, though her shoulders are still stiff and her fingernails bite into the skin above her heart.] None of my Personas can act without my will, and I can't even summon them here, but... I'll leave you alone.
[Her voice doesn't crack, and she doesn't sound like she's about to cry, but there's a dull weight in the center of her chest, like the ugly feeling right before tears.] Sorry.
