I like spending time with my friends and learning about other people. I just want to enjoy whatever time we have together!
Live every day to the fullest! Let's explore the resort together!
I've been told I'm a good leader and listener. I'm pretty good at rescuing other people's cooking and baking disasters, and I can knit and sew. I can fight, but I'd prefer not to. My other talents are a secret. 😘
I don't really like to read, but I'll watch any kind of movie with my friends! I used to work part-time at a movie theater. I love listening to all kinds of music, especially J-pop, electronic, classical, and foreign music. 🎶
As for food... I love both ramen and sweets, but I'll try anything! Take me to your favorite food place! 😉
I like to keep my options open! 😊 Someone I can have a good time with, no matter what we're doing.
I don't really know! Buy me a drink and help me decide! 😉

all good! i have no excuse other than holidays and laziness
Honestly, Loki's story sounds absurd, like something out of a manga based on a myth. Which makes sense, considering that Loki is a myth; he wouldn't exist in the Sea of Souls to be summoned as a Persona if he weren't a cultural figure that embodies a part of the collective unconscious, she thinks. So with all that in mind, she just nods again, too engaged in the story to even pick at her food anymore.]
...That's a lot, [she says finally, tilting her head with a soft, non-judgmental smile. Like, sure, it's not that she approves the idea of inciting an invasion and murdering one's father, but gods operate on a whole different scale to humans. She's learned that lesson already, too.] I guess they found out and didn't approve?
The holidays and laziness are perfectly good reasons.
Though upset isn't the word he'd use right now. He doesn't quite know what the right word is, which bothers him slightly. He's used to knowing exactly what to say, just how to use words to evoke the response he wants, but he really has no idea what Kotone is thinking.]
It is. [And really it's only the beginning, but he thinks maybe he's revealed enough about himself to her for now. At least she doesn't seem offended or apauled, though really he thinks she should.] You could say that. I tried to explain that I did it for the betterment of Asgard, but it was quickly clear that he still did not appreciate it. It was a long time before I figured out what I had really done and was able to self-reflect enough to see the truth.

[Oh, right, there's been food this whole time. She reaches for a scone, though she only holds it in both hands for now.]
Thanks for telling me. You're not what I expected. In a good way! [she hastens to reassure him with another smile. Her own Loki isn't presently within her soul to complain, after all, so she can say things like that. She'd thought to meet a somewhat arrogant liar spinning tall tales to catch her interest, and maybe it's just that she's not the best at telling when others are concealing the truth, but if she were going to tell a stranger a story about herself, she'd definitely pick one where she was the hero, not the villain.
Instead, the Loki before her just seems like a person. And that's definitely a good thing to her.]

It had not been an easy time, but now Loki thinks it might be one of the best things to ever happen to him.]
I am glad to hear that. I never quite know how people will react to stories from my past. I wouldn't blame anyone for being put off by them.
[He doesn't know what her Loki is like for certain, but he's met enough of his variants to make a pretty good guess. Likely she expected to meet someone quite different, but he's just not that person anymore.
Loki reaches out to grab some food himself now and smiles.]
So I take it that was a worthy story then? Any chance I can learn a bit more about you?

It was a great story! Thank you for sharing something so personal. [It's not until he reaches for his own food that she remembers the scone in her hands and takes a bite. It means her mouth is full when he asks his own question, leaving her letting out a little noise of surprise. It's a fair question! But she still never expects anybody to want to hear about her. At least she has the decency to chew and swallow before asking,]
What do you want to know? I don't know if I have anything as interesting as what you've experienced, though!
[--Says the girl who fought a giant maternal being locked inside the moon and ascended a tower guarded by manifestations of the human collective unconscious, all accompanied by all manner of gods, myths, and angels within her soul. "Interesting" is a matter of perspective.]

Loki can't help but chuckle slightly at her surprise. He doesn't understand why she responds that way, it seems only fair to ask a question of his own in return.]
Anything, everything. Whatever you wish to share, really. Where are you from? What is your world like? What were you doing before you came here? Just how do you know gods in your world? That sort of thing.
[It doesn't occur to him right away that this many questions might overwhelm someone, but from what little she's told him about herself, he could probably ask a million more.]
persona 3 spoilers lmao
[That's a lot! It's still surprising to have anyone take an interest in her, let alone a god, but it's kind of flattering in a way? Plus, the barrage of questions makes it easier to know what he's interested in; it's something to latch onto, rather than something to drown beneath.]
Um, I'm from Japan. Have you ever visited? Most recently, I was living in Iwatodai and Tatsumi Port Island! [As for what she was doing, "dying" probably isn't an answer he'd like to hear, so she just kind of skips over it without missing a beat.] As for how I know gods... have you ever heard of something called a Persona?
no subject
[And if there's one thing that Loki has been consistently trying to do here, it's learn about other people. He spent so much of his life closed off, not caring about anyone (or trying not to) and worrying only about himself that he finds himself trying to over-correct now.]
I unfortunately have not. Though I have heard of Japan. Of all the Nine Realms, Midgard is where I have spent the least amount of time. And even then, mostly I was in Germany and the United States of America. I shall take note that once I leave this place, I should go to Japan.
[He's not sure he'll ever really have the chance to do that, even if he does leave here, but he does hope he's wrong about that. As for her dying, though he's glad she is alive and in front of him right now, he meant it when he said he was interested. And that seems like an interesting story. But, he doesn't know, and doesn't notice any sort of hesitation like she's hiding something.]
I know the definition of the word persona, but not really as a noun, no.

[And really, she doesn't, laughing a little as if to put any doubts at ease. Especially after he'd shared such a deeply personal story of his own, it doesn't seem right not to answer at least some of his questions. The easy ones, at least.
Based on the context, she can safely assume "Midgard" is what he calls "Earth," and she nods enthusiastically when he mentions visiting Japan.] I really liked the hot springs in Kyoto, but there's a lot of Japanese people here. You should ask them for recommendations, too!
[As for the rest... normally, she'd keep it a little closer to her chest, but again -- it's Loki. He was literally one of her Personas, after a fashion, so after a beat, she just shrugs as if reaching some kind of internal decision and offers another smile.]
"Persona" means mask, right? [She gestures over her face as if to indicate, then lowers her hand to her heart, closing it into a gentle fist.] Some people have the potential to awaken a special power. I don't really get the specifics, but it basically means that certain beings from the human collective unconscious can be manifested to like... help us fight. Kind of, [she finishes, almost lamely. She's never had to really explain a Persona before, after all! Usually she just makes people ask Mitsuru if they want more information.] They live within our hearts and answer our call when we're in danger.
