I've been told I'm a good leader and listener. I'm pretty good at rescuing other people's cooking and baking disasters, and I can knit and sew. I can fight, but I'd prefer not to. My other talents are a secret. 😘
I don't really like to read, but I'll watch any kind of movie with my friends! I used to work part-time at a movie theater. I love listening to all kinds of music, especially J-pop, electronic, classical, and foreign music. 🎶
As for food... I love both ramen and sweets, but I'll try anything! Take me to your favorite food place! 😉

Will her willingness to trust others get her into trouble in the future? Almost certainly! But let's not worry about that for right now.
Fortunately (or unfortunately), she's of a similar opinion to him, humming to herself as she rifles through the rack until she finally finds what she's looking for. She pulls it out, revealing a black sleeve, and then squints at Akira as if measuring him with her eyes. Hmmmm.... yeah, this might do! She triumphantly yanks out a matching butler suit, holding it up proudly.]
Ta-da!! This one!! This was always my favorite to put the boys in when we went to Tartarus!
[Potentially revealing a lot about herself there...]

[Before he can protest, she's shoving the butler suit right into his hands not unlike the corset he's now showing off. She has no idea how he's going to wear both, but honestly! She'd like to see that!! The whole concept makes her laugh, eyes sparkling with delight because it's just so silly and fun of a thing to do.]
They've got to have outfits like this for sale too, right?

[after a brief pause, he turns his back towards her, fingers toying with the hem of his shirt but not quiiiite moving to pull it off just yet]

[None at all! And yet that doesn't seem to bother Kotone at all; in fact, she doesn't seem to have noticed it until she sees Akira looking around. Oh, hm. Oh well! At least he's asked her an easily-answerable question.]
No! [she doesn't think it will be awkward at all. Oh, but maybe Akira is afraid he'll feel awkward? She lets out an understanding noise and smacks her fist into her opposite palm.] Oh, I can turn around if you want!

Her eyes trace appreciatively over the bare skin of his back, following the curves of his muscles, looking for any scars that might hint at his activity fighting Shadows or stealing hearts. Luckily for her, he isn't looking at her face, else he might have seen the look of mischief that brightens her eyes as she's struck with a sudden thought. Her hands might not be as cold as they were when they'd first met on the VR beach, but she bets she can still startle him if she just takes a step forward and--
pokes him right in the small of his back, just to see if he'll yelp.]

[. . . her mischief is also rewarded with the most embarrassingly strangled cry of surprise. Akira feels fingers at the small of his back, and he practically lurches forward, spinning around to face Kotone again with his cheeks on fire]
H-- [HELP WHAT DOES HE SAY NOW THAT HE HAS SHOWN HER WHAT A LOSER HE IS???]
I-- if you wanted to touch, you could have at least warned a guy first. . . !
[the protest is weak. it's more amused than upset. amused at her, amused at how easily startled he was. . . get it together, Kurusu!]

Sorry! [she doesn't sound sorry! But she does step a little closer, raising her hand just a little in a more obvious request.] Can I touch, please?
[She's mostly joking, her eyes sparkling with the same kind of unserious mirth as always. But as with a lot of what she'd says, it might sound like a joke, but there's a grain of truth hidden within it. He has scars, and scars can tell a story, can't they? She'd like to touch them!]

With their "deal" arranged, she holds up her hands again, palms out, as if to prove that she doesn't have anything nefarious up her sleeves. Her smile softens from its usual mischievousness to something a little kinder.] I'm just curious about your scars.

[his features slacken in surprise, brows raising above his hairline as his mouth parts. his scars were never that big of a deal to him-- just small nicks and cuts here and there, with a few larger ones sticking out a bit more starkly against his skin. but none of them were so serious as to draw questions! or. . . so he thought]
[after a moment's pause. . . he slowly turns around, showing Kotone his back again. which does not hide the way the tips of his ears suddenly flush a bright red]

They're a part of you, [she adds softly, a smile audible in her voice even if he can't see her from this angle.] Healing spells can't always get everything, right? So they're a story of the battles we fought, even if other people don't know about them.

I think that way when I stumble across other people's scars. Usually they're a lot bigger than mine, though. So I guess. . . I never thought it mattered much when it came to mine.

[Her fingertips skip here and there along his back, a soft touch to trace each scar she can find against his skin. Everyone in SEES had had their own battle to fight; for as much as they were a team, they were individuals, too. When they'd split up on floors and get into fights with Shadows, sometimes the true extent of their injuries wasn't noticed until they were back together again and could heal. She has to wonder if Akira's team was the same.
Eventually, she presses her hand flat against his back, signaling that she's finished.]
Doesn't matter how big or small. They're still a record of who you are and what you've done.
