[Then again, if she's from before Inaba, that probably doesn't mean anything. Still... interesting. Would Akira fight to be in charge? (Spoilers: Akechi's probably the only one who would).]

This doesn't seem to be related to the Metaverse, however, so I'm not sure how useful our abilities will be.

Oh! Souji Seta? We met.

[Her cheeks color the faintest shade of pink at the memory -- he's the naked boy she'd woken up next to, and then kissed senseless in the closest closet. If he's a Wildcard too, it's no wonder the Fool had resonated.

But it's equally as concerning that he's nowhere to be seen. Her brows furrow a bit as she adds search for Souji to her mental list of tasks to complete. There's nothing she can do about it while locked in this little pod, though, so she sets it aside for now. There's something else interesting that he's said.]

Can you summon your Persona?

[Without her Evoker, she can't. Does he have some other tool he can use?]

[Maybe more than met, if he's right in catching her blush. Though in this place, that doesn't really mean anything.

But his Persona... he hums, faintly. If she's asking, then perhaps her method is different than theirs? That's interesting.]

I haven't tried. Normally I'm only able to in the Metaverse -- the world where shadows manifest. [Just wait until he hears about the Dark Hour!] Summoning one usually involves removing one's mask, but said mask is only manifested by the Metaverse, so...

[He waves his hand vaguely. His mask hasn't appeared here. Does he need to do something to be seen as a threat, like in Palaces? Or maybe they just all get evokers and it's fine. That'd be funny.]

[Can she summon a Persona without the Dark Hour? They destroyed the Dark Hour, yet she can still feel her Personas inside her. There'd never been reason to summon a Persona during the day, so she honestly doesn't know if it would be possible. Hmmm...

Well, that'll be a question to ask Mitsuru, probably! Anyway-]

What's your mask look like?

[If they have to remove a mask, then it stands to reason that it looks like something special!]

[Ah. Well. He debates whether to explain his unique situation, and decides not to.]

It's kind of... long. Like a beak.

[Because he's Crow. You know. He gestures, vaguely, to mimic what it looks like.]

[She's still picturing "plague doctor," but she'll keep that to herself, just smiling and nodding as if she understands.]

So your Persona manifests as a literal mask... I guess that makes sense, since Shadows all wear masks, too.

[He considers talking about the metaphor of everyone wearing masks and the nature of shadows as the hidden self, but he's distracted enough by a curiosity to spare her the lecture.]

How do you summon your Persona, then?

Not with masks!

[Obviously. How much is she allowed to tell someone, though...? If this guy is another Persona-user, it makes sense to try to ally with him. Especially if he's friends with Akira, and Akira's another Wildcard. Hmmmm...]

We use a special tool. [She forms her right hand into the shape of a gun and points it at her own temple.] Like this!

[She mimes firing a gun, knocking her head sharply sideways along with the "recoil." Yeah, that should be fine to tell him! If she ever finds an Evoker, he'll end up seeing it anyway, probably.]

[His eyes widen a little. What, some kind of... device to mimic, ah. Being shot in the head? That's quite dramatic. He leans back slightly, considering.]

Fascinating. I suppose I can see it. For us, the awakening is quite violent, and latter summoning are mimicking it. Perhaps there's something necessary in embracing violence in order to summon a Persona? Or at least the thought of violence.

[She hums contemplatively, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with his assessment.]

I was told it was about embracing your own mortality. "Remember that you will die," and all that.

[Matter-of-factly! She doesn't lose her smile, though it doesn't quite reach her eyes, either, as she flops back to the floor again and stretches out, making herself more comfortable in their little pod.]

Dunno if that really matters here right now, though.

Hmmn. Ours was more about revealing your true self, and rebelling against the society. What's your -- well, what was your first Persona?

[It seems like Wildcards begin with a personalized one, and then pick up others...]

True enough. Even if we could summon them, I'm not sure we need to. Besides being trapped here, there's no threat so far. Althought--

[He considers. He just wants to see how she'll react to this. To try and... make her squirm, a little bit.]

I can imagine some people might enjoy utilizing our Personas for more experimental purposes. In the bedroom.

[That's kind of a tricky question, isn't it? She hums, visibly considering it, and then shrugs.]

I awakened to Orpheus and Thanatos at pretty much the same time.

[No need to tell him how Thanatos literally ripped himself out of Orpheus and obliterated the Magician Shadow that had been threatening the dorm. That seems complicated to explain, and she's already had to explain enough complicated stuff!

Anyway, oh-! This is an easier topic! She blinks with a bit of surprise and hums again, taking another moment to think about that too before puffing out her cheek in a disappointed pout.]

I don't have Mara anymore, though...

[She glances toward him, sees that blush, and her smile turns just the slightest bit impish; mischievousness crinkles the corners of her eyes, even as she tries to keep her smile as innocent as possible.]

You brought it up first. What, you haven't thought about it?

[She's never thought of it before now, but it's way funnier to tease him than to admit something like that!]

[He's struggling to keep his composure.]

[Her eyes sparkle with delight as she rolls over, propping her chin in her hands and kicking her feet like they're chatting about boys they like at a sleepover.]

Well, I mean, my -- Personas, [He lets that slip] Or there's a few others. Like-- ah, Arsene--

[He clears his throat quickly.]

Never mind. It's not important. That's not the intended use of Personas.

[Arsene... Hm, she doesn't know that one. She'll have to ask about it later! More importantly-]

Sure, okay. Which other Personas do you have? Other than Robin Hood.

[Goddamnit. No, it's okay, he tells himself. He takes a second to gain his composure. Most people evolve their Persona at some point, right? In that sense, having two isn't so strange. He debates, but a hint of honesty might be useful.]

Loki. [He smiles, politely. It might be a strange evolution, from Robin Hood to Loki, so he won't mention the curious detail about his abilities. Hopefully she won't catch on.]

Oh! I've met Loki before.

[Twice, technically, considering that there's apparently a version of him wandering around this resort, too, though he doesn't look anything like her Loki. But it does invite an interesting question -- Robin Hood and Loki are very different figures for one to evolve into the other. All of her friends' evolutions had seemed like a natural progression of their strengths in a way.

Also she'd fused away her Loki to create the Odin who's present in her soul right now.]

[Yeah he's met that one too. Still kind of coming to terms with it.]

Mmm, I figure it's not that surprising. If shadows and personas are truly drawn from society's memory of mythological figures, a popular god like that would likely crop up more than once.

[Something in him shifts, slightly, as if recognizing that. It's an odd feeling he has sometimes, subtle and not nearly as strong as it should be. He feels it with Akira most often. It's likely some half-developed form of recognizing the Arcana of others to switch personas.]

[Still kicking her feet a little in the air, she hums. She's really never thought about it too much -- things had been so busy all the time, and that kind of thing had just never seemed all that important.]

Still, I'm having trouble finding the connection between an English outlaw and the Norse god of mischief! Can you explain it to me?

[She's not above pretending to be dumb if it means someone will do the work for her.]

I'm going to guess your group all had Greek-inspired Personas? Ours were a little less obvious. They were all... outcasts, and trickster figures. Some of the others' included Zorro, Captain Kid, Carmen... and so forth.
