[Kotone has been keeping herself very busy since they came back from the desert. Not that she hadn't been doing that before, but it's more pronounced since then. It's too easy to be sad about her missing friend if she stops moving, after all, so clearly the solution is to just keep moving!
Unfortunately for Ragna, that means she'll be bouncing by the kitchen sooner rather than later, carrying a paper bag of dry goods to restock some of the supplies she'd used yesterday. That's-]
Oh! Hey there! [Her voice is warm and friendly, instantly recognizable as the one from the network who'd been advertising in the first place.] Haven't seen you here before!
[ Hearing the kitchen door open almost makes Ragna sigh in resignation ─ of course he couldn't have these few hours just to himself, that would be too much to ask for ─ and he tries to ignore the newcomer for the precious few seconds before she addresses him, shattering his hopes for making it through the day without having to interact with anyone. But her voice sounds familiar, and the man realizes it's the very same person he's spoken over the network about the whole thing. While she is a tad bit too friendly for his taste, it will at least spare him the dumb introductions, so when he turns to face her, his expression is more neutral than annoyed. ]
... You're the club leader.
[ It's more of a statement than a question, since he's only trying to confirm what he's already fairly sure of. ]
[She manages not to flinch or lose her smile when he calls her the club leader -- after all, it's Shinji's handwriting on the door sign which she hasn't had the heart to take down -- because it might as well be true. No sooner had she finally gotten him to agree to set up the club that he'd vanished without a trace.]
Kotone! Or Shiomi, if you're the type who likes last names. [she corrects, because being called "leader" in this kind of situation feels weird. She was already leader of SEES -- she doesn't need to be nominated to another leadership position!
Dropping her groceries off on a nearby counter, she starts putting them away instead of immediately sticking her nose in his business.]
You're Ragna, right? How're you finding the kitchen?
[ Unfortunately, Ragna prefers to refer to people with whatever random nicknames he associates with them rather than their proper names, so she might be stuck with the "club leader" title ─ or whatever else he comes up with in the meantime ─ for the foreseeable future. ]

[ He confirms with... let's call it limited enthusiasm. He assumes she'll figure out soon enough that he's not exactly a great partner for a small talk. ]

[ That's putting it mildly; truth is, it's better than anything he got to cook in within the past what, eight years or so? Which is not something to brag about, so he'll keep that part to himself. The man glances over his shoulder to see what Kotone is doing, and even asks a question of his own. ]
[She'd really only come by to drop off supplies, but if this guy wants to eat cake, she's happy to make some. Distantly, she's aware that he's just following up on that comment from before about the type of person she is, but honestly, it wasn't that wrong of an assessment. Whatever gets her the chance to talk to him, after all!
But for now, she pulls a notebook out of her skirt pocket and starts taking inventory of the things she'd put away, glancing back over her shoulder to give him another smile.]
