I placed simple flowers in there... Tulips, roses, carnations, lilies... At present I am growing them on my windowsill, along with a small flower bed on the fields.
As for taking care of them, water them every 3 to 4 days... I must admit, I infused some of my magic into the flowers, as I did not want them to die quickly so I suppose you need not care for them too much.
I really love them! I'll make sure to mark on my calendar when to water them so I don't forget!
Did you know that in Japan, where I'm from, there's a big tradition of flower language? Giving people certain flowers would carry a special message, I think, but I don't really remember a lot of the meanings... maybe somebody else here might know!
I'll definitely get you something, too! Look forward to it!
Japan...? Do tell me about Japan sometime, my dear. I wonder if it is similar to the lands on Arygian.
But ah... The flowers I gave you are actually... Flowers for a daughter. I suppose that is rather inappropriate, as you are not my daughter, but someone who is much, much younger than I.
I will look forward to it. Thank you, Miss Kotone.
Sure! I don't really know what to say, though... I mean, I just live there!
Oh, I went to school by monorail. That's kind of unique, isn't it? We'd take the monorail in the morning from the school dorm, across the bay, until we got to the station and walked to school. It was kind of relaxing, usually!
[Oh, oh no... she's having a moment, and though he can't see it, she has her hand on her heart as she reads that part of the message.]
That's really kind of you, Astralin-san. I don't think it's inappropriate at all! Thank you so, so much.
[Her parents died (what feels like) a long time ago, so it's... weird, but nice to have someone who thinks of her like that.]
Perhaps over dinner, you can answer my questions. On another day, of course. I would not want to bombard you so quickly with so many questions.
Ah, the monorail. We do not have that in the country side, but we have those in the developed cities. It is fast, is it not? It must be very convenient for you.
[NO... NOW HE'S hAVING A MOMENT. He was expecting a different reaction, and now he's PANICKING OVER HERE.]
Ah... I am glad to hear it. You are most welcome, my dear. Um. Should you need anymore assistance with those flowers, do not hesitate to call on me.
[Dinner... she perks up immediately. That is one thing she misses about Tatsumi Port Island -- whenever she and her friends wanted to go anywhere, they usually went somewhere to eat. She could demolish a bowl of Hagakure ramen at a moment's notice. Maybe two!]
Whenever you want! I can always make time in my schedule to hang out with a friend. Especially if there's food!
[She keeps her schedule full on purpose, because having too much time to herself is a little too sad... but it's the kind of schedule that she can freely shift around or prioritize other things without too much trouble.]
My favorite part about the monorail was getting to watch the sunlight reflecting off the water. The school roof had a pretty good view of the water, too... It was all really normal back then, but now I kind of miss it, you know?
I will! And if you need any help with growing them, let me know too, okay? I don't know a lot about gardening, but I'd like to learn.
Please do let me know if there is a particular restaurant that you like here.
[He's spoiling her, for sure.]
That sounds beautiful. I would love to see that in person but I unfortunately do not have the powers to, ah. Inject myself into other worlds, as some people back home do. However, if I am able to go back home, I think I will attempt to go into the large city to give the monorail an attempt.
Ah, I would be more than happy to teach you. My wife has shown me different techniques throughout the years, and I would be happy to pass down these techniques.
[There is no way she's letting an opportunity for Food get past her! It's nice to cook and it's nice to bake, but it's way more fun to eat with a friend.]
You'll have to tell me more about "injecting yourself into other worlds" sometime... it sounds complicated, but cool! I hope the monorail in your city is as nice as the one in mine.
I think that would be really nice... I really like the way the flowers look in my room, so it'd be fun to be able to grow more, I think!
Of course, my dear. If you have any questions about my world, I would be happy to discuss it over dinner. Perhaps Shinjiro would like to come along as well? I think a... dinner... will be good.
[He almost said family dinner let's not get ahead of ourselves here.]
Wonderful. Then I will see you on the farm as soon as it is built.
Yeah! I'm sure Aragaki-senpai would love to come. He can help me answer any questions you have, since he's lived in Tatsumi Port Island longer than me.
[Shinji will be going, even if he pretends he doesn't want to go, grumble mumble... He's Going.]

Do you know what kinds they are? Where are you growing them? Nobody's ever given me flowers before. What's the best way to care for them?
